I am in the process of replacing the water pump on a 95 v-56 mustang
I cannot get the by-pass hose off of the top of the water pump.
Any suggustions from anyone would be appreciated.

I feel like I am fixing to break something if I pound any hard trying to get it pulled out of the metal tube.
Thanks

Well one option is to use a Razor knife and slit the bypass hose.
Then replace the bypass hose.

The bypass shouldn't be a big problem. But to help take some pliers after you remove the clamps, and twist it in a circle. This will break loose the crud and you should be able to get it off.

I'm curious if you've tried to get the metal (heater?) connection off. It;s the metal tube with the oring that goes into the pump. I remove the bolts in the pump and wiggled it to loosen it up.

Good Luck,
Rob
