Just got a Tremec from behind a '98 Mustang V6. There are way too many people saying you have to do this, and to many people saying you have to do that; Which one. I need a solid answer. I have a '93 Mustang GT with a Borg-Warner T5. I just need to know what I need to do to make it fit. (Tremec Tag: 1352-238)

Also, Can I buy an electronic speedo. and get that to work??

The transmission you have in the car right now has a shorter input shaft than 1998 v6 transmission has. I believe the v6 has 5/8" longer input shaft. It is a direct swap for the 94/95 5.0's but like said earlier the gear set is not as strong an the trans you have in it already. Basicly you will destroy the v6 trans a lot faster the the stock one. So to put the 98 v6 trans in you will need the 94/95 bell housing, a shorter drive shaft so the yoke don't smack the tail housing when the suspension cycles. Those are the main things I have read about.. good luck with the swap if you decide to go with the weaker of the two transmissions. An be ready to pull the v6 trans in a short time to replace it again...
