Sounds like it could be the fuel pump. I do not know for sure, I'm not there. Do you hear a quick kind of a hum when you turn the key?
99 GT no fire!

i currently have a problem on my 99 GT automatic w/ 130k miles...i drove my car the day before and it was fine, but this morning i was trying to get it stared all it did was crank but wouldn't fire, the battery seems fine all the electrical stuff works (radio,lights,a/c).......but my mustang has had issues on start ups before, it wouldn't want to fire unless i gave it gas......but this time it didn't get to the point where i could give it gas and start it will just keep cranking... pressing the gas does nothing anymore
..............any help will be appreciated , this gets me where i need to go daily

thanks, it does have the hum sound when the key is turned, this Wednesday i changed fuel filter, air filter, & sparks plugs....thing starts up every time now
