Hi, all. I just recently joined the forum after getting an '06 GT 'vert last week. (See intro post with pics here:http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/introductions/796666-new-member-georgia.html)

I have a couple of quick questions.

1. The car is too old for the window sticker to still be online. How can i tell what gear is in the rearend? It turns about 1750 RPM at an indicated 60 MPH in 5th gear (manual transmission.)

2. The steering wheel is missing the plastic trim piece circled in the picture below. The dealer says I have to buy the complete cruise control button assembly, which is $150.00 and requires removal of the airbag. Is there a fix other than having to do this?

not sure on the gearing. go to your local picknpull or similar place and pop that piece off a wheel you run across. no need to buy complete buttons for one piece. good luck.

There's a sticker on the diff housing/rear axle. This website didn't work with your VIN? Use your VIN number to get Ford Window Sticker

Thanks - no the VIN number comes back as "Invalid". I think they only go back to 2007-model vehicles.

It is probably a 3.31, but should have a white sticker with black print on the housing. That's where mine was.

Right you are! I'm surprised that it has 3.55 gears in it.
