i have the felpro head gaskets that have the blue silicon rings around all the holes and just wanna make sure on if i should put some extra sealant on there.... im thinking not but figured id ask

also what do i do about the head bolts that go into the coolant passages? i dont think teflon tape will hold up all that well with the heat of the engine. i have some blue loctite and some rtv sealant but someday i will have to take these heads off again so...?

no sealant on the head gaskets! make sure both surfaces are CLEAN,free from old gasket material, and dry

as for the short bolts, you need thread sealer so you dont leak coolant..they sell it in the RTV section at all local parts stores
Amazon.com: PERMATEX THREAD SEALANT - PERMATEX -: Automotive

or whatever brand they carry

use motor oil or preferably engine assembly lube on the longer headbolts to ensure an accurate tq reading..use the proper headbolt tightening sequence as well

+2. Make sure all mating surfaces are perfectly clean and free of any debre. Wipe the mating surfaces down with a cleaner that evaporates quickly, that way there is nothing, no oil, dirt or anything on the block or heads. Proper tighting and sequence is critical to proper sealing.
