A good cop last night

I was out last night kicking around in the mustang. I went to a commercial area behind some factories and pulled of a few runs. As I left the area about 2 miles down the road a cop starts to follow me from a distance. he pulls me over and asks me if I was the car behind the coca cola factory a few minutes ago..I was not going to lie and get in any more trouble so I said yes sir that was me. His reply was >>>>> I am glad you told me the truth because I was watching you and I love your car. I followed you for a while to see if you where going to fool around on the streets. I told him that I never fool around an the street lol. he said that is also a street and I dont want to see you get hurt are wreck your car please be carefull and then we started talking about my car. I guess I was lucky and my cop friend now likes mustangs, we chatted for about 10 min about my mods and actually turned out to be a fun night. I dont think I will go to that area again ....

He was very cool and I think it helped that he was alone and older. I say in his 50's .. the funny thing is he never even asked me for my drivers lic but I guess all they have to do now is punch in the plate number...:headscratch:

I actually got pulled over once by a cop who wanted to know where I got my CDC 1/4 window covers from. He had an 05 S197.:so

Odd, even at 40 years of age those lights in the rear view mirror still make me say "Oh crap"!

Id never tell a officer around my town what i have done to my car. A buddy of mine who has a harley davidson truck with alot of mods told one officer what he has done to the truck and the next week he was pulled over and they scanned his inspection sticker. The sticker was fake and he got his truck towed and ended up paying alot of fines and to top it all off when he got it outta the pound there was a huge scratch on the 2 front wheels from the flat bed tow truck.

I CANT WAIT TO MOVE OUT OF MY TOWN LOL!!!!!:shigrin

Sounds like you were on private property - nothing the Police can do there anyway unless someone complains (assuming they were not following you for some reason when you entered the commercial area). Soon as you drive out though, well we know the deal there.

easy on the older "in his 50`s" stuff :gringreen i still think oh crap when i see the lights behind me too, and most the cops are half my age

I head to work at 3:30 in the morning plus i work weekend's. I'm on my way to work and notice a cop in a charger pass me. he pull's a u-turn and get's on my bummper and hit's the light's. I'm thinking i'm doing the speed limit there's no light's on the car out. pull over young kid in his twenty's asked to see my license and insurance. hear him call it in. responce no want's no warrent's. He step's back up to my car and ask's me do you know why i pulled you over/ Of cousre i said no. said he had been watching the car for week's and really just wanted to check it out. LOL!!!!We talked for about 20 minute's. he want's to come over and check out the cobra. Now when i drive to work all the cop's in the area wave and give me the thumb's up.

For the most part, cops are pretty cool, especially if you are straight with them and don't act like you are being a jerk or lying or concealing something.

I think the best safety feature on any car is a rearview mirror with a police car in it.
