You can still find good technicians. Usually they are the older guys who have been there for 20+ years. At my dealership(Toyota) we have 3 guys that been there 22,25,31 years and all three race Mustangs and do their own work. The younger guys are factory trained but really don't know "other" makes. Heck even when I worked for Ford, we had like 1 Tech who knew more than just todays ford engines.

Keep in mind your techs that work for a dealership won't be replacing engine parts for a 69 Mach 1. So many do not work on performance cars on the side. This is their career, not their hobby. Those that make it a hobby, you will see that they can also work on other cars and engines dealing with muscle cars and performance.

It is very very tough to get a wrecked stang to drive the way it did before.

What was the company if you dont mind? I have had issues with State Farm and USAA.

I refuse to deal with USAA after they screwed up and told the VA DMV I had no insurance when I paid the policy in full and I had insurance the day before and after Feb 7th 2002. I dropped them in a heartbeat when my license was revoked for failure to pay insurance when I had insurance.
