So some of you wanted to give me a hard time for being frustrated with Ford and my Mustang. I agreed my anger was misdirected and in reality it was the service department at Apple Ford in Red Lion PA who deserved the bashing.

This thread is to do the exact opposite. I can not say enough good things about the guys over at Len Stoler Ford in Owings Mills MD. Especially the Service tech Dave. As some of you know I had a TSB that needed to be perfromed and an ANNOYING AS S*** rattle. Apple Ford refused to do the TSB and told me they couldn't replicate the rattle.

Dave performed the TSB and tackled the rattle. The rattle was, I thought based on other expert opinions, coming from the H Pipe. Dave confirmed it was NOT. However, he didn't end there. He spent the last day driving the car over and over until he pinned down the noise. It was coming from the drain plugs (I have a convertible) behind/under the rear seat. He fixed the issue and drove the car and verified the noise was no longer there. However, again he did not stop there, he told me to drive it and if it comes back, to see him and he will get to the bottom of the issue.

THESE GUYS ARE GREAT :bigthumbsup This is the type of service I come to expect when purchasing a $40K+ car!!

Thank you Len Stoler... Now time to enjoy my Mustang!!

You should email that female from Ford Daisha? i believe is her name. So she can reward Mr. Stoler, and take some kind of action against Apple Ford. Unless they reward the good dealers and take action against the bad ones nothing will be accomplished. just my 02.

We need some positive comments in this forum. I'd like to extend my appreciation to Heiser Ford on Silver Spring Drive in Glendale, WI. They have a great service department manager, Randy, who's a no BS guy. He gets client service, understands that a satisified customer is his report card, and wants his clients taken care of. All the warranty work I've asked about has been done without question and with prompt and quality results.

You know... maybe we should have a sticky at the top that have a list of GOOD and BAD Ford Service Centers. I know it would have saved me a LOT of time and headache.

Can a Mod chime in and say if that would be allowed?

I'm glad to hear that too. My GF lives in Owings Mills, so I'll probably go check them out now. I had been using Koons of Baltimore over on security blvd. They are good too, but there only seemed to be one guy there who was a real mustang fan. The others didn't seem to know too much beyond the service manuals.

Len Stoler is closer to her house anyways, so they might be getting a new customer.

It has been asked for time and time again....

Being that this board (along with others) are HEAVILY involved with FOMOCO, I doubt they are going to do such a thing.:yup:

I understand why. We will just have to rely on post like this one :winks

Len stoler also got my hood scoop fixed. Another dealer tried 3 times to get the scoop to sit flush before giving up and saying it was normal for the scoop to separate from the hood :nono:

They also fixed my rear lower valance which was loose without me asking :worship

I am honestly happy as a pig in mud that I finally found a great dealer!! Can you tell :heha:

Hey do they have a body shop? I need a good dealer to bring my car to about a clutch shuttering issue and possible paint work to fix Lindsay Ford's terrible, careless, inept job. They are awful over there.

I bought my car from Koons Ford in Baltimore... I think my salesman's name was Randy.... Not 100% sure. I have his card in my wallet but it's in my car. The service rep named Dave I dealt with at Koons of Silver Spring and demonstrated a whine at 60 and 80 mph seems like he takes his job seriously. He told me he WANTS to fix it. He definitely heard it. At first he was thinking it could go away, but after replicating it everytime it hit around 60 and around 80mph, he grew more concerned and told me he wants to fix it for me. I'm thinking about taking it in for a double whammy-to check the clutch system/hydraulics out (or whatever would cause inconsistent clutch engagement) and the whine, which is most likely the rear end.

Yes their body shop fixed my hood scoop and rear valance. If you call ask form Stan. They call him "Stan the Mustang Man".

I almost bought a Mustang from Koons in Baltimore from Cartez, yes that is his real name, real good guy. Planning on using Cartez when I am in the market again.

Let me get this escalated for you, evanjp. Please, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can forward it to the Customer Service Manager for your area.

Deysha, the problem is with the "Dealers" (Apple Ford). Apparently Ford, the manufacterer has no control over the dealers with their horrible work habits and customer treatment. Yes when a customer gets bad treatment, he goes to another dealer that treat him right, but it ends there. There is no penalty, follow up or any consequence to the dealer to make him change his bad behavior, so the next unfortunate customer gets the treatment all over again and all of that reflect on Ford Motor Conpany. i don't know how Ford handles these compaints, but escalating an appointment has no consequence on the bad dealer.

You hit the nail on the head.

If a dealer has enough business, they won't give a crapola about you unless you make a BIG stink.

Ford REALLY should be working more towards random inspections etc to ensure it's customers are getting what they rightfully deserve in terms of warranty service WITHOUT hassle.:nono:

Yeah. I could see that. FWIW, I went to Koons for service because that's who I bought it from (different shop though) and I had no problems so far. As for Len Stoler, or Koons, google reviews and yelp are your friend. Not saying that its on the owner to research, or that the dealers should not all be equally good. Just saying, a few minutes on yelp and google were enough to let me know I'd never be using an Apple dealership.

Hi george06,

Yes, dealerships are independently owned and operated. However, there are surveys that get sent out to the customers after their visit, whether it’s sales or service. This is how they get graded. We also document positive and negative feedback towards them when you guys call us or PM me with the info mentioned above. I understand everyone’s frustration, as I’m a customer as well and this is why I do my best to get dealer experiences (good or bad) documented. :)
