ok, that light on can be a few things
1) Low brake fluid
2) Bad ABS sensor
3) Bad ABS module

yes..or it can be the ABS module itself...you have to take it to someone that can scan the ABS systemya I remember you mentioned that on my other thread about one wheel kind of chirping but my fluids fine. by ABS sensor do you mean the wheel speed sensor?
yes, I've tried to say that before...if the module itself is shot you cannot scan the system...I know, mine is out right nowA self test check to see if all the modules are the car are communicating. This will let u know if there is a code stored and is why the abs lamp is on. Or is can be on if the ABS module isn't communicating. If u can't pull codes chances are its down. And next step is to check power and ground to the module.

Did this end up being a bad ABS module? How did the key - in circuit code come in to play?Ya I know it's definitely a possibility that the module is down. Just hoping its not. I don't need ABS or trac. control but I would like it for when my gf drives it... if I ever feel ballsy enough to let her haha. she has more of a lead foot than I do. or maybe I just use it at better times.
Haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Weird thing is a few days ago it was like 20 degrees out and the abs light went off. once the engine compartment warmed up though and i assume the module defrosted the light came back on. Other than that no new news on it.Did this end up being a bad ABS module? How did the key - in circuit code come in to play?
