hey, im a half newb to cars so here goes

my problem is this, almost everyday my car feels sluggish but, every so often it seems to run exceptionaly well, like i actually get pushed back in my seat without flooring the pedal...and im wondering what the deal is with this...I'm pretty sure i have a chunk of stuff knocked loose in one of the Cats..and maybe the computer is remaping the Air/fuel ratio alittle to offset this...atleast thats a friends suggestion... so i was hoping anyone could give me a full list of potential problems that would cause this same problem

When was the last time you replaced the plugs and wires? I seem to have had those symptoms when my ignition wires got to old.
