I'm just curious if my engine could handle nitrous. If it can't, what would I have 2 upgrade?

Thanks in advance

yes 75 to 100 shot. depends on miles and also get a tune its a must to be safe.
Close 2 hitting 50k miles. I know a wet shot mixes with fuel but what's the different power wise?

We always suggest a wet shot over a dry shot. A dry shot can lead to a lean condition which means dead engine a lot easier.

A 75 wet shot would be safe providing you got all of the safety features and a dyno tune.
What gains can I see from a 75 wet shot? & what safety features are we talking?

A 75 wet should should get you into the 13's if you have some good tires. Tom Shine ran 12.9x with ~100 shot, TKO 500, Windstar, full exhaust, and some drag radials.

Safety features are a window switch, purge system, and blow down kit.

You also may want to look into a bottle heater for a little better effectiveness, American Muscle has some real nice install videos and information on NOS if you want to check out their site.

Forgot to say, you will also need one step colder copper spark plugs.
red i wanted to ask you. you got a x-pipe on your car how much was it and was it worth the money.

I paid $35 for the universal X-pipe junction then paid $150 to have it welded into my set up.

As for as gains, I didn't feel any. It did smooth out the crackly exhaust note of my single chambers.
Oo, would my car be able 2 handle a 100 shot?

With a very good tune yes it can, the post about shiners nitrous car earlier was with a stock motor running all the way to 5900-6000rpms he has made many passes with it and can't seem to blow it up, he already has all the parts there ready to upgrade it (saw the top end stuff myself, he just has a death wish for that bottom end, until then he won't touch it :( ) your stock motor will be just fine with that size shot, your transmission however will hate you....

A properly maintained and functioning 4R70W should eat it up all day long without a fuss. The stock 7.5" differential is another story.

An 8.8 is an easy and relatively cheap solution though.

The tq converter is very pissed off in my car with just the hp/tq I have now, that would at least have to be dealt with in a seriously used nitrous car (with a 100 shot that would be a lot more umph than my car) the auto is a strong one but what spins the auto trans sucks.....
