Adjustable Panhard Bar

Hey everyone!

I just ordered some lowering springs and plan on installing them with an adjustable panhard bar at the same time. However, I had a question regarding the adjustable panhard bars.

Is there any added benefit in having a triple adjustable option vs the double adjustable? And by benefit, I mean is it really worth the extra cost?

no, just get the J&M steel or the BMR one. Ive had both. You dont need to spend anything more than the BMR one. Get one that adjusts in the middle like the two i said.
Roll Center Kit

If you like good road handling, and want to lower your roll center at the same time, consider the Kenny Brown kit. It's a little more expensive, but it is double adjustable, comes with a panhard bar brace and the roll center relocation bracket. Put this on and take your rear anti-sway bar off. You won't need it anymore. :)

PS. Since you're a v6er, here's a link to a great v6 performance site. It's got reviews and install instructions on BMR, KB & other suspension stuff.

We are about an hour up the road from ya - you should come pick up some stuff, and check out our operation.

We are right at I75 / I4 intersect. ;)

Can you show me an example of a triple adjustable Panhard Bar?
I'm not sure I understand what advantage a triple adjustable bar has?

Additional point of failure? ;)

I'll admit that the bars with the adjuster in the middle are easier to adjust than ours but our bar is stronger since it's one continuous bar, and it's still easy to adjust.
I have to be honest, I see no advantage to that part, whatsoever. We have a winner in our PHR006, and I have never been asked one time, why we don't make it "more" adjustable.

I agree with Sharad, above, that the only thing I can think of when looking at that piece is, it just appears to add an additional point of possible failure. I doubt it would fail, but I can't help but think it when I see it.

If you compare the above linked bar, to our PHR013 (Poly / Rod-End) - I don't think you would have any more adjustment, that you would need, in being a triple VS double adjustable.

So to conclude, I do not think a triple adjustable Panhard bar would give you any added benefit, over the tens of thousands of double adjustable pieces out in existence, being used. high5.gif

WHY AM I JUST NOW SEEING THIS? tumbleweed.gif

I am so sad right now.
Something I learned the hard way...
Fix your LCAs and their mounting point when you do this! If you lower and only change the panhard bar, the live axle geometry changes to actually reduce force applied to the road (read: traction) when you apply power to the rear wheels.
The BMR parts have been great for me so far...
