I appreciate all good advice out there....

If all goes well I will be picking up a 08 GT500 this weekend with about 23k miles.
Can anyone share some wisdom that they wish they knew when they first picked up their GT500.

Things I should do...
Things I should avoid ....
Ect...

Find out if the car has a tune on it and if it does make sure that it comes with the tuner device. You might want to take it to a Ford dealer before buying it and have them to put it on their diagnostic machine to see if anything odd comes up. They may also be able to inspect it/look it over for any problems as well. Make sure the car has had any maintenance done not that it should have needed much with only 23k miles.

Similar to above comment -- find out if it has any modifications from stock, and if so, exactly what those are. If it has mods that required tuning, ask for the tuner device that has the original factory tune on it.
