To start off im a new member and just made this account, i live in Los Angeles. Im a teenager and have been working for about a year and after saving up i have enough money to buy a 2003 Mustang. That would be my first car. Its time to stop using my dads gmc sierra. What i would like to ask is what you guys can tell me about this car. The pros, the cons & what problems i might face with it once i buy it. I just want to be informed on this car. V8 of course. Thank you guys!

They are for the most part a very reliable car. Just find one that's been reasonably well taken care of (kinda goes for any car though). No real common bugs with an '03.... Some of the earlier cars, 1999-2001 had issues with the coolant crossover section of the intake manifold cracking but that was remedied in the later half of the 2001 model year.

My bro in law has an '03 GT auto he bought about 3 years ago. He does nothing but drive it, put gas in it and change the oil occasionally. Notice I didn't mention "wash it" lol. Only problem he's ever had with it was a heater hose blew out one time. He got the car at 107K, think it has around 150K now.

I've had my car for going on 8 years, it's at 116K currently. Only actual repair work I've had to do is replace the clutch. And the alternator, but that was the fault of some crappy mod I did and not the alternator's. Had a misfire issue a few years ago, new coils and plugs fixed that.

All around pretty solid cars. Not super fast, in case you're looking to piss off LS1 people, but solid and fun cars.

Socal covered it, as always. Mine has 162k miles on it, bought it with 137k and only maintenance i have done is oil, brakes, heater hoses, tires...they are pretty reliable as long as you take care of it.

Remember, the engine in these cars are used in Taxi Cabs and Police Cars (the crown vic ones) and they go for a very long time, even when driven hard...just mantain it properly...good luck!

Post some links when you find some and we can provide some details and opinions...

Socal: Thank you man! So basically this would be a great car. I was a bit scared to look into cars with more than 100k miles on it but i can see i might have been wrong. Im not sure if you get a notification that i replied but thank you! And get his car into a car wash soom lol

Jon: I actually do have a couple links from craigslist that i was looking into. I have 2 saved, one thag i saved cause its cheap & another due to the low miles. The price range is affordable for me but i need some more opinions.

Mustangs are awesome!! Good choice. They are a ton of fun.
Just maintain them like any car and they will last.
Your a young kid like I was when I got my first Mustang, so don't drive like a crazy ***hole like I did. I had to many close calls and I'm lucky to be alive. Now I drive like an actual adult.
All I'm trying to say just learn from my mistakes. Good luck your going to love it, and "chicks dig Mustangs"lol 😃

2003 Ford Mustang GT

2002 FORD MUSTANG GT GREAT CAR
The silver one is a no-go in my opinion. The white one is worth looking at but the engine was replaced once which is a concern. Bring a trusted mechanic with you to look it over, look for the normal used car stuff. The white one has some nice mods already but tread lightly...
