i have 14 mustang GT which i think is the last on the lot. i love the car and I'm at the stage that i wanted more. i upgraded the axle back and I'm thinking of installing a Cold Air Intake. i wanted one with no tuning required, just the simple bolt on. i have read a lot about the K&N's but they are not legal in california. any takes on the aFe 54-11982-P Pro 5R Magnum Force Stage 2 Polished Air Intake System for Ford Mustang V8 5.0L? would an increase in horsepower increase my gas consumption also? thanks

I dont think it "MAKES" horsepower. I think it just free's some HP up. So no it wont use more gas. But without a tune you wont be making a noticable amount of power. CAI are really overrated but thats not gunna stop me from spending my money on one. If your looking for power just get a tune instead of a CAI.

The gains with a no-tune CAI are negligible. If you performed three tests in a row and compared it to three tests without the CAI there would be no statistically significant difference.

Go with the AEM intake. It is exactly what you are looking for trust me. When you check out the kit you will know why! I absolutely love mine I highly advise getting one. I have had mine for over 10 months and cant think of a single negative about it.
