air silencer removal?

The air silencer is inside the fenderwell , right behind where the stock air filter box is. If you have changed the factory design it is gone.

I'de like to ad to this instead of posting a new thread. To remove it can you get access from the engine compartment? Do you just open up the air box and remove it from there or do you actually hafta take your tire off to get at it? If someone could explain how to remove it that'd be great..

IIRC, you should just be able to reach up under the fender to remove it. (mine "disappeared" like 10 years ago, so the memorys a bit fuzzy, I cant remember how it was attached, but I do know I didnt have to jack the car up or anything)

still not sure were that is...what does it look like and how far up is it if I were to stick my hand up the fender
