Hey guys, im going to take my 68 coupe 302 bored 30 thousand over with a mid rise edlebrok intake and 650 holley carb through air care in a couple of days. I was wondering if you guys would have anytips to passing.

it has a mild cam from comp. its a 288 grind height flat tappet cam. this is a rebuilt engine and i am wondering if anything to do with it being rebuilt will make it fail.

The 650 holley that is on the car came with it when i bought it. i have the receipt for when he had it installed and all it says is "Custom holley 650"

I am wondering if it has larger jets or something.

Any tips to passing or lowering my emmissions would be great. thank you :)

Josh. Why are you going? The 68 had no emission controls. I live in ontario and my car is exempt. I would expext the same for you. Do you have historical or vintage plates on your car?

Goodafternoon It has been said ,,, get it good and hot, back the timing off a little, plug the vac advance, turn in the idle mix screws. Drive very carefull to the test and get it back to normal quick.. that's what has been said , to get the old ones through..
Thanks!!

I called ahead of time and i am not exempt here. there are some sort of standard that i have to meet. i do not have vintage or colector plates because this is my daily driver now.

Why would i plug the vacumme advance to the dist though?
Goodafternoon So the spark does not advance. and change the burn pattern.
Hi again Collector plates are nice.. the main ting is not going through scare care.
why is it even there? why would you want it to spark before fuel? If it advances it changes the pattern of when it sparks?

Yea im not even bothering with collector because this is my new daily driver. it also has a lot of things that are not original on it.

Going in the morning! wish me luck!

As the engine rpms increase and the distributor rotor is spinning faster you need the spark to occur earlier (advance) otherwise the duration of the spark is very short.
