Mustang in Stable for Winter

What do you do to your Musang when you put it in storage. My Mustang is also headed for the stall for the winter and I want to be sure I follow the best procedures to winterize it. Can't wait till spring.

My time is coming but hopfully I will be able to drive it until late December then wait for the snow and shush to clear and drive it when I can until late March when it's';

Ha, i don´t drive it in Winter as well, but you can still go out to her, sit in the car and listen to the Radio. :)
My Witner procedure is,
-washing to get rid of eventual Roadsalt,
-checking the Tire Pressure, and overpressure them a bit.
-Fill up the tank, i heard Gas gets bad when there is a lot of Air in ti:?:
-Charge the Battery, and recharge it every 2 weeks, actually i can stick my loader on the car the whole winter, as its designed for that too.
-Check Coolant, for Freezing Temp
-Washerfluid for freezing
and, cover her highly addicting Body with some soft blankets agaisnt dust.
Oh and i keep a window about an Inch open (in the garage of course) so moisture etc could evaporate.

Same feeling I will miss my mustang.. my friends also advice me not to drive during winter.. as an alternative.. hmm I'll travel from other place or go on a vacation. :cooldude:
Such a sad time for those up north who have to put thier cars away, but here.. Its convertible season. temps in the 80's, sunny and 4 straight weeks of car shows and events.

when its below 50 here, heated seats and a hat.

This is a good list and I do a couple more things:

-Fuel stabilizer in the tank
-Shut the car off with Max A/C on - closes vents to interior to help prevent critters
-Tin foil over the stock intake and steel wool in tailpipes for same reason as above
-Battery tender
-Bounty dryer sheets in trunk and interior so it smells nice and fresh in spring
-Park it over a tarp to prevent moisture
-Pray winter goes by really fast...

Sunny but getting a wee bit colder here now. My baby was just put away this morning. Will see her next spring with a brand new B326 Stroker, FRPP CNC Ported Heads, Etc. Etc. :winks
Always a depressing thread. I'm driving mine til the dreaded day comes.

+1 and hopefully we have another mild winter here in the Midwest. Last year I drove it until late November and had it out in early March. Not too bad.

I guess you could call it 'seasonal depression'.
Thank God I live in Florida...winter = open windows no AC :shigrin
I don't know about you guys but my Mustang is king of the snow

I do pretty much the same as you but I also dont put the dryer sheets in the stang, it still has the new car smell so I just put a full box underneath the car, I spread them out, MICE HATE the smell and keep them away from your baby.
I also close the doors only to the 1st click and not fully closed, ths will prevent the rubbers from premature wear. I also spray down the rubbers with heavy duty Silicone Spray, this will protect the rubber. I put the wipers up off the windshiled on a piece of styrofoam, this will prevent crushing the wiper blades and prevent the rubber from leaving permanent marks on the windshiled.
I do lay a big solid piece of heavy duty plastic down on the floor, but I also have 2 older shag carpets that go on top of this that the car sits on, this will prevent "Flat Spots" on the tires. If you just use the plastic over inflate your tires to prevent flat spotting. Oh, as for adding the Sta-Bil to the fuel, this is good but you also must fill your tank full to prevent moisture from corrording the inside of your gas tank. I also use a dupont breathable car cover after the final clean and detail. Then kiss your baby good night.
This along what "You" mentioned above will insure your stang will be stored properlly for the long Winter.
20 degrees out right now and I may have already had my last ride for the season................
