aluminum flywheel????

question, went with an aluminum flywheel since i was doing the clutch, i have a 6 bolt flywheel, 01 gt is 6 bolt right??? i ask because on the package it says ford 4.6L 32V???

If the 8th digit in your vin (the engine code) is an X then you have an 8 bolt Windsor block. If its a W then you have a 6 bolt Romeo block. I found the info here: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=4749

it says x for the 8th digit so that means windsor i guess, then i nedd and 8 bolt, dang, then i cant use this 6
The guy at my dyno shop who does the rwd v8 cars told me not to go with a aluminum flywheel on my daily driver, street car. He had put one on a Z06 and had allready replaced it several times. I guess if you had a automatic tranny it would last alot longer but, according to him the pressure plate kept chewing it up. Just thought I would chime in and tell you what I had heard.
