Sup guys, I just finished putting on these headlight splitter for my '11 V6, damn thing looks vicious. I'm gonna put an HID kit next to make it look alot more menacing at night. I'm just gonna give you guys a heads up on a couple of things....

Pros:
-Makes your front end looks VICIOUS
-Great matching color from AM
-Really will make a nice appearance with HID's @ night.

Cons:
-If you're trying to swap headlights with aftermarket halo's or etc....you will need to remove the splitters bc it's molded with 3M tape across the light and part of the front end between the grille.
-3M tape is such a fu$*# Bull for attaching these on the headlights. Make sure to have some spare auto tape adhesive promoter to HELP attach the tape and lights bc they WILL PEEL in a few hours. The ends of the splitters WILL start to give away if you don't put the adhesive promoter right.
-APPLY ALOT OF PRESSURE ON THEM WITH THE ADHESIVE
-One of the splitter was 1/4" shorter than the other, I don't know why.
-The fit is hard bc they aren't slightly curved to fit the headlight, thats why its a difficult fit on the headlight.

I think they look great! :)

Even though I really like them, I prefer the look of the headlights far too much to cover them up at all.
Thanks man, yeah its' all about preference, some people will like them some won't. I didn't want to do anything with the Halo headlights so I just decided to slap these on with some HID's next week.

Used to live in Minot, ND myself and man that place was cold as hell. lol

It's now hot as hell with a swamp covering half of the city, haha.

Post the pictures with the HID's! I'm really curious to see them with the splitters :D

I really like those things, but so far it's the only mod I've kept off because no one here (wife, friends, etc.) likes them. So far I haven't cared what anyone else has said on my other mod's, but I yielded on these because I'm not sure how it would work with this huge cowl hood. I'd like to see a similar setup as mine with them. OTOH, I don't want to over-do it on body mod's.

Yakety, yak, yak, yak.

Yours look great! :bigthumbsup

I am on the fence too...sometimes they look good and sometimes they don't. Guess it depends on my mood LOL

I'm not trying to over do it on the exterior mods as well, I MIGHT think about the side scoops but as for now I'm happy with it.

I'm also thinkin of a lil' stripe pattern that can go on the splitters as well. To make them stick out a lil' more but, I'm not sure yet. If you guys got some ideas on that I'd appreciate that.

I'm just really anxious to get my car ALL TUNED up and ready to go for our "Rumble on the Roof" Hawaii Performance mustang club meeting in September.:bounce2:

I think stripes on the splitters would be a bit much, unless perhaps you paint the front edges black, so that you see black splitters head-on, but body color from above and below. You could also go with solid black up to the middle of each splitter, then break off into smaller and smaller segments of black from the middle to the outer edges. Still, I don't think it would be a good idea. Photoshop it, perhaps? I would, but I don't know how. Don't own Photoshop either. :shigrin

I do like the idea of side scoops though. I just wish they were functional.

I think you can pull of the look just fine with the splitters. I'd black out the pony emblem to give it a more aggressive look.

The splitters look awesome man! Yeah for a while I had a laundry list of exterior mods on my AM build list but then I stopped and asked myself, "Do I really need that?" I've shortened it down to the splitters, a new spoiler, and maybe quarter window louvers. Then I'll just worry about keeping the body in good shape instead of doing a bunch of pointless expensive add-ons.
