I noticed that too. I was only considering the Flows because they were cheaper. Adding $150 to the price makes them completely pointless given the price range options.

Roush is back on top.

$150! that's a huge price increase, were they re-designed or something like that? and why are mufflers for the V6 so damn expensive to begin with?

I made a thread about axleback prices and pricing. I don't understand the pricing either. There were two camps, one was those of us that thought everything was overpriced. The other, swearing that there's $500+ worth of engineering in mufflers.

Before I got my ABs I got a quote from a shop that would build me a setup with flowmaster mufflers for $125 a side. Any decent muffler shop should be able to do the same. The asking price for ABs is insanely high just like every other aftermarket mod. I saw a .40 cent stamped tin deadpedal going for $50 forchrissakes...

I'm about 80% happy with my Roush setup. I got them used from someone here for $2-300, can't remember.
They're pretty aggressive in normal driving and past 4k RPM they sound amazing, (like really really good) but there's a touch of drone at 1800 RPMS and a spot between 2500-3000 that sounds raspy. There's also a bit of surface rust on the bottom but it doesn't seem to go deeper than that. Someone said the tips look bad but mine are perfect. I just wipe em down when I wash it and they look great.

So, I wouldn't pay full price for them but I'm happy with what I paid.

If I was in the mood to drop $500+ it would be for a full cat-back.

apocalypto,

This has been the price of the Flowmaster Force 2's for a while now. All prices in our catalogs etc... are subject to change, However we always go by the website price. If you have a print out or a screen shot of a cheaper price we can definitely honor that for you. If not we do offer price matching VS any of our competitors and do offer a 6% forums discount. The only requirement is a minimum of 50 post!

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help, let me know if you have any questions!

Yeah, I don't expect perfection with the Roush ones. I figure they're going to be loud. I've had a change of heart and just want something loud and stupid lately.

I'm 100% sure I saw a flowmaster axleback, the only one listed on your site, for the 2011-2012 V6, priced at $429.

It certainly was, as late as fall 2011 when I got mine from CFM for $400 shipped (one-time thing via Hector). I seem to remember seeing it that way into 2012....

Of course, they're all marked up way too much by the manufacturers. No doubt AM just did a scaled price hike when Flowmaster hit them with an increase.

Yes, i remember especially the fact that the mufflers were the only ones painted black.

AMDanBailer, thanks for your reply, unfortunately I didn't save a screenshot or have a record of it when it had the cheaper price, it sucks because it would have been my next mod, I am a multiple time returning customer (I just bought the Raxiom tinted taillights yesterday) so maybe you can slip this one by. :bigthumbsup

These were $429 for a long time. I know because they were on my AM wish list. Were on. Flowmaster must have changed the price, by $150 and AM just matches that. Either way, that is way to much to pay for exhaust sound w/o any real hp increase. No thanks.

Local shop will make axle backs with Flowmaster 40s welded in for around $300 anyway. Oh well.

I would pay 429 for flows i think they sound good better then 680 or wat ever for FRPP
but they were 429 the only AB I was considering. And I dont like the roush... to tinny (i guess) in high rpm imo

Streetlife Motorsport still has them listed at $429 on their web site.
Marylandspeed.com
$403.95 and free shipping. Go there or AM can match it.

So I looked into a little further after some of your guys post. It looks like there was a price increase from the manufacture. However it seems some places have not enforced that, So you guys are in luck.

We offer price matching VS any of our competitors. So you guys can just give my CS team a call and provide them with a link to a valid site that has them for whatever the amount may be and we'll price match them no problem!

I hope this helps guys! We really appreciate all of your business and loyalty.

Dan, are we also eligble for the 6% discount on top pf the price match?

Unfortunately it's one or the other. We're only allowed one coupon per order and a price match falls under that tittle. We can do whatever makes it cheaper for you guys, so if a 6% discount makes that happen then we can do that!

Let me know if you have any further questions!
