American Muscle Wishlist for 2009 V6 Manual Trans

So im looking to start my wishlist as i just moved to my new hometown and am about to get a job. I was looking through American Muscle to try and find some performance mods for the v6 but i was hard pressed to find many engine mods. So far i have UCA's and LCA's, a pypes dual exhaust, i already have a CAI and 93 Tune, I am going to buy the gears within a month to complete my T-Lok and Gears mod, I have wider wheels and tires, new spark plug wires, a stage 2 clutch, but past that i really cant find many mods. And i was slightly disappointed because i couldnt find many engine mods for the 6'ers...

Can anyone give me any ideas??

Thanks!!

i feel your pain. there are not alot of bolt on options for the 4.0`s. you could try out the under drive pulley :D throw some shorty headers on there maybe and a nice aluminum driveshaft would be cool ( thats on my list :)) cj pony has the frt brake upgrade kit too, do you have sway bars on there? :bigthumbsup

nope no sway bars. i forgot to put that on my OP but its on my list too.. i looked for an aluminum drive shaft for the 4.0 but i could only find one for the GT on American Muscle. i might be missing something that your seeing though... and i havent ever really looked at CJ pony site... i guess i should take a look. The list i've come up with including the wheels and tires has come out to about 4,700. i could get a s/c/turbo for that. But i heard s/c's are a lot of maintenance and i dont have the time to deal with that because of school. However, if i put down all the money for that, i've basically tapped all the bolt-ons and dont have to worry about that. Do you know if anyone has a good TT out there for us 6'ers? or even a reliable ST? i heard of one i think called a powerhouse thats supposed to be good but hmartine also has a t/c kit that i have heard is good. so many options

Check out Shaftmasters for aluminum driveshaft.

X-charger is basically zero maintenance for me. Easy install too.
Kind of not worth it to do gears in the 7.5 rear end. Costs a bunch.

You can get 8.8 GT takeoff rears with 3.55 gears for super cheap. The install is easy too.

PM JimC on Mustang Collective for a price. Jim is on this forum too, I think.
almost 10,000 dollars later, i still wish there were more motor mods.

look in to nitrous or a N/A alcohol kit.

other than that, your about maxed out.

american muscle is a great place, but they dont offer everything. its great there are lots of sites to find parts.
shaftmasters for the driveshaft as mr ugly said
newtakeoff.com for the sway bars. those will really make your car handle nice.( i did the complete package with frt and rear sways, struts and shocks, great price) then i did buy the shelby strut brace from am, it made a nice difference in handling too.
cjponyparts( one of our sponsors here now) has the best price for the gt upgrade frt brakes. it really makes a huge difference. but you have to have at least 17" wheels.
i put gears and a tlok in my 7.5. its not such a bad deal, its tougher than most people think, but i`m not running 400+ h.p. either. i really like having the posi.
ive got over 7k in mods, part here part there, and still no big power adders yet. but i love my car and i cant do it all at once. :)

7k in mods = XX HP
5k in blowrs =XXX hp.... then the otehr 2k makes XXhp

so XXX+XX means for 7k u coulda had XXXXX hp.

i know it. but my car was so basic and used when i got it, i spent alot on normal maint., int/ext mods, perf and suspension stuff, and made it a really nice car that i like, and it runs pretty good too. i also have this last yr to pay it off( which i could have also done, but the mods made it so much more likable while making the payments) i just might do something crazy next year though :gringreen

lots of great input guys. it does make me sad that my list is basically a complete list. but my list is about 5 g's so i will more than likely be working on this car for the next 2 years at the minimum. However, if any of you were to betray the much appraised mustang name and buy a semi cheap ($2-$6,000) project car, what would it be? Reason being, i still need a DD and i dont want to add many upgrades that will lower the life of my DD. try to keep it muscle, but if you have a good argument i'll also accept imports. :bigthumbsup
