Sorry only have heard the Borla's with the stock cat back.

Has anyone heard anything new about the Kooks headers?

Curious if anyone has done any back to back header testing to see which one performs the best?

Well i know it is not the headers that make a car louder but exactly what you said and since you had to change the x pipe. It does change tone... So i was curious with the different cats and different x pipe it could be louder... Thats what i was getting at

The sound is not because of the headers, the sound depends on the x or h pipe, cats or not and the mufflers.
This. And out of any header company arh is the best period. They will outlast the car the construction on them is so good. They are actually a local company here on long island, so many people around here run them. If you want the best quality this is it. But personally like most of you I'm always on a budget and would go for something cheaper considering my car no longer sees rain or snow since I bought a jeep. I'm sure under these circumstances a set of bbks would last too

Yes, all that Blubyu12 said aboutit. A person looking at ARH or Bassani headers and mid-system is usually looking to install & forget (about corrosion, that is). If you've seen ARH headers hanging on a display, you'll understand Blubyu's enthusiasm. Droll material here 2011 5.0L MUSTANG although for a GT.

The Bassanis offer similar construction from a southern California outfit. Biggest practical difference is that they have that modular catalyst option so you don't have to buy two X-pipe sections. Drool material here http://v6mustangperformance.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/kitlaidout.jpg

Some Bassani LIST prices - S3711 headers $749, no-cat sections 37112A $119, catted sections $350, X-pipe junction/midpipe to work with either 3711X $499. You'll never pay this, of course.

Solidhadriel has the bassani headers. They are available for purchase only straight from bassani, from my understanding of it. I think when I get headers ill purchase and have them installed at their facility in California. Are the bassani headers carb legal? That would be a good question
