Any of you all installed an amp in the trunk? I have the Amp, wire kit, and a boxed 12" sub. I am just having a hard time gettin out and under the car to get'm installed.(motivated that is)
Anyway which route would you recomend for the Amp power wire? Where did you pass thru the firewall?

Thanx:)

I went through on the passengers side through the same gromet that the antenna coax goes through. Worked out pretty good because that comes out right under the battery tray. On the inside of the car I removed the kick panel where the fuse box is and went behind there, under the door scuff plate, behind the rear 1/4 trim, straight to the trunk.
the easy way

You can run it from the battery, across the engine bay and to the clutch hole that was made in all the mustangs. (stick or auto) Very easy and alot less hasel than the other way. If you would like, I'll post a picture of what I'm talking about.

Here is what I'm talking about. Just plug into your battery and run It all the way across your engine bay. Then poke a small hole into the shinny metal tape. (where the clutch should be, If you have an auto.) you will understand. push the wire through. Now lay on your back inside of the car, and look at the brake. look to the left and you will see a little grey door made out of fabric. Open it and there you will see your amp wire. And the rest is easy. Tuck It under the plastic kick plates to the back of your car. And hook it all up!! :smoke:

Post some picture after your done. love to see how it comes out. Just got my 10 and amp hooked up. Here are some of my pictures of my amp and sub location.

Where's your fuse? It should be next to your battery.
I ran on the passenger side.
Near the bottom of the engine bay there is a hole in the metal that is covered with a little flap. Flip the flap up and you can poke through foam and come out right under the dash in the passenger floorwell. Just ran the wire beside the door where the floor of the car meets the side / wall of the frame. Just pop the door seals off and you will see plenty of room for a wire. Just a little silicone and put the flap back down and it works fine.

No idea what the flap / hole is for :)
