Hi all,
Have a 2007 V6 automatic with about 60,000 miles on it. The analog fuel gauge and digital readout of remaining miles match pretty closely, but both are wrong, reading about half of what's in the tank at any time. I guess it's the sensor unit, but, since they match, is it possible that it is an electric problem upstream from the tank? Could it be something as simple as a loose wire (I am a dreamer.).
Thanks for your help.

You have 2 different float level sensors, one on the driver side with the fuel pump unit, one on the passenger side by itself. One or the other could be bad or stuck.

I believe your miles to empty number is based on your gas gauge reading times your average MPG so it's not surprising that they match even if your gas gauge is wrong.
