well to make this nice and simple..

1988 GT with a 5 speed
245/45-17 tires/wheels
3.73 gears

the guy i got the mustang from said the speedometer read 15 mph too fast and it looks about like it.i know i have to get a speedo gear put in but i dont have a clue as to what size i need and what size is already in it.

1987 mustang gt speedo gear question.

i have 225/60r15 tires on stock gt rims with a stock 5 speed and a 2.73 rear end gear. i have been told the one i have is incorrect,it is a light purple color and a "shaft" at the end,i didn't count the teeth before i put it back in. any chance you can help? thanks!
