I am not being dismissive. But having played with carb spacers galore over the years, which are still cheaper than this thing, I have concluded they are largerly the equivalent of buying your car a drink. If you conserve the $130, you can step up to a better whiskey yourself.

haha how people fall for different claims from different people remind me of propoganda in WWII!
Relax people. I didnt fall for anything, or think this would turn me into a GT. I research everything I buy before pulling the trigger. I thought it might be a minor compliment to the cai but based on this feedback I guess not.

Save yourself the embarrassment of having someone see this on your car and send me the $130, you will gain just as much from it.

We need this posted as a sticky so this question can be put to rest...
FRICKIN TOTALLY AGREE! There's TOO MANY questions about this throttle spacer.

We're all relaxed, it's just that this is about the bazillionth time this has come up over the years.

Then just ignore the post and move on. You dont have to inject your opinion into every thread. This a 2011 v6 forum, nobody cares if you have been listening to it for "years" this is about the 2011-2012 cars.

Made a post a few months back about getting the throttle body spacer, was about to get it but reading everyone's comments made me change my mind. I instead saved up and got a CAI, best decision ever!

Had one on my last car. The whistle makes you think it's doing something, but I actually think it hurt my MPG and I couldn't feel any difference in performance from it.

This thing seems to be getting pretty good reviews on the AM site. I wonder if they are Airaid employees trying to push the product, or if it is a placebo effect.

You have to be careful when you read the AM reviews since they do not differentiate between car models. Read the bama tune reviews and you'll see what I mean. So the spacer may be great for a mustang ii but not the 3.7l.

^^ agreed. cmon just think about it, dont be someone that thinks they'll be a GT from bolt ons. Its a little spacer, does nothing.
You mean I cant slap on a GT badge to become a GT car? :gringreen

Spacers are only good when they have an integrated spray bar for nitrous. Otherwise they're for carbs.
