AOD question

I have had my 01 GT Automatic for about 2 months now and love it. I have an automatic question (don't rag two left knee surgeries pretty much negates a manual for a daily driver). Sometimes the 1-2 shift at WOT is strong and give a good chirp of the tires and other times it shifts firm (no slippage) but not hard enough to slip the tires. You can feel the difference inside the car.

It seems to always catch second it I punch it from a 5-10 roll, but from a stand still it won't. Is this normal, is it the AOD 'brain' trying to figure out what I am wanting. Anybody else experienced this? All of this is with the shifter in drive.

I know a good chip with a tune will help, but that is in the future

Mine ('03 auto) has hit second so hard I had to pull out of the gas to keep from sliding into the curb. Its all stock too. 100%. However most of the time it won't break the tires free on the 1-2 shift, but does shift firmly at full throttle.

Hey StorkDork,
Was that just a K&N replacement filter of their FIPK. I gotta get something to replace my 30,000km factory filter.
