AODE in and out of OverDrive question??

95' GT.

While on highway, jumps down from od to 3rd and sometimes 2nd, just for a sec, then back to od. Guess its really not slippin. Seems when its hot outside it does it more.

Shifts gears too soon also(OD kicks in at 37mph), while goin up a steep driveway, it shifts outta first gear into 2nd and luggs engine heavily. While rolling up a steep hill/road and my foot is steady--to keep it in the best gear to pull that hill--- it will upshift and stay there, trying to pull the hill under 1K RPM. Even if i smash the gas to try to gear down, it just simply won't do it... Well, to the floor it does.

New motorcraft TPS, IAC, no codes...

Took it to trans shop this morn, and they couldn't duplicate the prob(of course). They suggested alot, MLPS, filter and flush change, torque converter, OD band. Im stumped.

Sometimes it does it, sometimes it dont. It shift good and firm, fluid is flawless and level correct.

Someone help me please if they have seen these symptoms. Thanks!!!:bigthumbsup

If a shop doesn't know what is happening then take it to another shop. It does sound like a pressure problem but posting it everywhere does not help the situation.

MLPS M.anual L.ever P.osition S.ensor, aka Neutral Safety switch(most otc parts and ford dealer), aka Trans Ranger Sensor.

Fixed it.:bigthumbsup

These can be adjusted if car doesn't start right away after install. Just have an assistant turn the ignition key while someone underneath adjusts the switch. Nut it down.
