I had heard from m friend who rides bikes, that resonators on bikes will help reach higher RPMs faster so you don't get that low toned drone as much. I know for cars, it reduces the sound quite a bit, but does it also do that as well? I personally love the way it sounds in the higher RPMs but the lower ones can be a little loud and too deep, especially in residential areas.

And to install a resonator, I think I know but I wanted to double check. There are a bunch of little cut out raised holes that you can only see from one way you look in. So I figured it would only make sense that the holes would be facing the front of the car so that when the sound travels through, it will get caught in the holes before it gets to the exhaust, is that a correct assumption? I just wanted to double check just in case so It wouldn't have to be cut and welded twice!

And will adding a resonator make a difference in a tune?
