i swapped a transmission from a 89 into a 93. The electrical connector from the engine to the transmission on the 89 car is a 2 pin, on the 93 it is a 3 pin. is there an easy fix for this or will the trans out of the 89 not work in the 93. Both 2.3l cars.
any help would be good.

I found the problem. the trans out of the 89 will not work. the 2 pin is for the torque convertor. on the 93 the 3 pin controls the torque convertor and the solenoid pac. so the TCM and the PCM won't work together.

i think you have to have a 91-93 trans because it computer shifted for over drive
