Hi guys,

I need an Autolite 1100 carb if anyone has an old one they want to get rid of. Must have automatic choke.

I've got a 1966 Mustang with the 200CID 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual transmission. The threaded piece on the choke housing of my carb (where the small metal tube attaches that goes to the exhaust manifold) broke off.

I'm really just interested in an old carb to be used for parts if anyone has one. Thanks !

paul25g - I also have a 66 Mustang with the 200 cu. in. 6 and 3 speed manual. My car has the Ford replacement carburetor which is a Holley Model 1940. Ford replaced the Autolite 1100 carburetors in the late 60's and early 70's when customers complained about the stumbling and balking of the engine with the Autolite 1100. The Holley Model 1940 fixes that issue. My 200 cu. in. 6 runs great. No hesitation or any problems. I won't go back to the 1100. Pony Carburetors has a modification for the 1100 which makes it better but they want over $400.00 for their modified 1100. Too much money for me. Look into the Holley Model 1940. Hope this info helps.
