BBK caster/camber plate installation on a 92 GT???

Maximum motorsports has an installation guide already made. It's very detailed and has pictures.

i am lowering my car 3/4". can anyone tell me if it would be necessary for me to get caster/camber plates? and if so, would you recomend that i just get them and take them to a shop and have them installed and have an alignment done or is it easy to do yourself without messing up the alignment?

Thanks a lot Ghost Dog 5.0, you really helped out, I used the instructions and successfully installed my camber plates in my driveway. The people that I took the car to had some troubles and said that they were still unable to align the car properly even though the camber plates were installed. I think that the alignment guy didn’t know much about aligning it though. He said that I need to cut the holes of the strut tower (on the car) over about an inch to get it to line up properly. Can you tell me if that would be likely. What I mean is,,, I thought that the caster camber plates should account for any kinds of adjustments that need to be made with out having to cut any part of my strut towers. Just curious thanks one last thing, would it be wise to take it to a mustang specialist

Wow they couldnt align it ? I took mine to this sub par place to get it aligned and they called me about an hour later and said they could not align it saying I need to replace the tie rods and rack and pinion.

I told them WTF, I just installed a new rack and pinion, tie rods, caster camber places and the car was driving straight before. They said hold on let me check it out again. 20 minutes later they called back and said it was ready. Owned.

I would suggest taking to Good year. They are usually most expensive of all the chains, but I've always had good luck with them too.

It's kind of a risk. If you have had alignment problems in the past, I would bite the bullet and get them. If your car already drives straight and perfect you could try going without it. There are lots of people that still have stock CC plates and dropped their car 1".

well my car drives straight as an arrow so i guess ill try without them but i need new front tires anyway so ill just get an alignment after i get my new tires.
