BBK Throttle Body Question

I just got a used 70mm BBK TB and I noticed that it has a hole in the throttle body blade. I can't tell if this is suppose to be there or if the previous owner has drilled it. Can anyone who may have one of these TB's please tell me if this hole is suppose to be there? Thanks!!

I have heard that drilling a hole in the throttle body blade is a way to
stop certain throttle bodys from whistling
