I got LTs out of my system when I helped a buddy do it on his 2002 Stang.
To say it's a nightmare is an understatement.
The worst part was after all that work the difference in power wasn't really that much and the sound wasn't too much different either. A little louder but the tone was pretty much the same except at WOT where it screamed more.
They were Kooks (beautiful construction) and he has a Bassani all the way back.
Maybe on a blown stang it might help, I dunno, but if I were you I would lay in a large supply of Band Aides and Beer like the others have said.
