depends on the milage and added optiion
The thing about the 05+ GT's is that I think they are too expensive for what they are. To find a decent condition one it runs at about 15-18k. You can get a 2011 V6 305 HP for that price, heck even 03-04 Cobra's! That is the only thing I have against 05+ GT's.I voted on the 2005. Its just a all around better car. I don't agree with the 2003-2004 cobras way to much money for the age. You can just add your own supercharger to a 99-04 4.6 and save money. It depends whos asking.. If your looking to do cams etc maybe go with the 99-04 gt if you have some money to blow. With someone on a budget who wants a nice ride at a good price id go with the 05+ gt which I voted for. I think that car would be more ideal for people who just want bolt on's and a tune.
you just said the 05-09 interior are horrible then you say who cares about interior its a stang :heha:The thing about the 05+ GT's is that I think they are too expensive for what they are. In terms of interior 05-09 Mustangs are terrible as well as the 99-04 Stang's, the ones with really nice interiors are the 10+.
For me, it's gotta be the Mach 1, a sweet engine with forged internals for about 14k and low mileage, personally exterior looks great and interior..eh who cares it's a Mustang!
Not at all. They can be picked up for 12k i see them all the time. I think its the best mustang other then the new 5.0 you get a solid stock 4.6 with a respectable 300hp to start and many aftermarket parts to play with. Its also just like the new body other then the crushed front and slanted rear. Most people will mistake it and think u have a new car.The thing about the 05+ GT's is that I think they are too expensive for what they are. To find a decent condition one it runs at about 15-18k. Well that proves my point right? People say the 05 is a better car for the interior superiority over the 99-04 Stang's, and I'm saying that isn't a logical argument due to the fact that they aren't that nice to begin with, it's all plastic. If you're getting a GT who even cares?you just said the 05-09 interior are horrible then you say who cares about interior its a stang :heha:
anyways i think looks are opinions. you think the 10+ interior looks good i think theyre more of a luxuary type and not very muscle like
for stock yes but once you start modding and forging **** things adds up :bigthumbsupIf you find the cost per HP on each of the cars using the middle of the ranges you gave you find the 99-04 GT is the winner.
99-04 GT- $34.61 per HP
Mach 1- $50.81 per HP
03-04 Cobra- $58.97 per HP
05-09 GT- $66.66 per HP
11-13 V6- $72.13 per HP
So as you can see the 99-04 is the clear winner, but I still voted for the Cobra because after owning an 04 GT I wish I had a Terminator. To get where a stock Terminator is HP wise I will probably spend as much as I would on a stock one.
Yeah, that's why I voted terminator, but I added that info to answer the op's original question.for stock yes but once you start modding and forging **** things adds up :bigthumbsup
Tell me about it:banghead:But to get the same power a termi has stocked is gonna cost the gt a lot.more than the termi value :bigthumbsup
its not that its slow its thatthe engine block can only handle 400whp.I'm really surprised in all the results! I was expecting the 99-04 GT's to win by a landslide due to how cheap they are going for now (most around the 7-9k margin)
I know this may be going off topic, but is it due to the fact that you guys think that it is "slow"?
I personally was thinking of buying one, not because it's quick but because it is a relatively cheap V8 Mustang.
Ahh, that misses the whole point of the thread! In terms of stock for stock which one is the best to go with? Mod for Mod of course it's the Cobra (arguably the Mach 1 5-Speeds, because they also come with forged internals.)its not that its slow its thatthe engine block can only handle 400whp.
the terminator i believe can go to 700? or was it 900? not entirely sure but either way the gt will cost a ton to get the engine forged so it can handle that much power.
if youre looking to get a gt just cause then i say go for it but if you plan on heavy modding and looking for high hp i suggest you just drop the 20-25k on a clean unmolested cobra.
and thats why i said in my original post it all depends on mileage, added option and such. stock for stock the cheaper car will mostly likely win but if youre talking bang for your bucks of course the expensive one will give you more since youre paying more. so back to my point it all depends on what you want out of the car.Ahh, that misses the whole point of the thread! Of course the SN-95 GT's win performance per dollar, but they are much less relevant due to advancement in automotive technology (260HP /235ish RWHP hardly worth talking about in this day and age).
