I am really jonesing for a new 2005 mustang. I think I can get a quote for about 19600 before taxes for a base model 4.L 6cyl.
Any recomendations on where to shop?
Where was your best deal, and what was your strongest leverage point?
I'm just starting my real search this week. I've been looking over my shoulder while looking at the hi performance ricers and other usa made competition too ( low displacement Hi torq and hp with turbo or super chargers.. (SRT-4, Focus Saleen, Redline, Impreza, Cobalt SS)
The ricer crash tests were so bad on my favorite, the srt4, that the increase in insurance ($921 per six months), seems to take the power/$$ ratio out of the picture. Hence losing the fun that went with it.
You get great performance for the purchase of a small Liter turboed engine with street/track suspension, but the insurance makes a nicer car an option when you weigh it all out.
I'd much rather the car cost more than the insurance over the Total Cost of ownership when that settles in.
So now it's straight to one of my favorite cars in a long time. I need nice modern muscle car! My last tuff cars were a 76 camaro, and a Ford TBird turbo coupe.
I'm a 30yr male, single and no points ever. One parking ticket paid in full. Own my house and another car outright.
Okay, I'm sleepy, till morning...in 3 hours:laughlitt
