I have been reading various old posts (most at least 5 yrs old) and watching videos using ob2 wifi or bluetooth connectors and phone apps for engine displays and scanning, etc. I am considering the forscan wifi connector and dashcommand or similar for iphone. I think this setup will work but have not been able to verify. I am not interested in a permanent setup, I really just want something to check the engine when needed. I have a really good autoxray reader (now a dinosaur) and it is not connecting to the mustang and I have not been able to update it. Is anyone using a good app and obd2 connector with iphone? or do I need to get an old andriod which seems to have more options.

For an app, I use Torque for android. I don't remember which ODB adapter I bought, just bought the cheapest on Amazon.

For Apple iOS I use OBDLink, but there are many others available, including ForScan. I use the device below & really like it.

OBDLink MX+ OBD2
