So I’ve got a 2007 mustang gt and when I set my mode on my climate control to feet and while driving it would cycle from feet to defrost to face, and whenever I set it to any modes that involves feet it cycles like mentioned but if I put it on defrost only or face only or max a/c I do not notice it cycling. Would the fix be a mode door actuator or could it be something else relating to a control module of a sort I’m a new tech and am trying to expand my knowledge on stuff like this and proper diagnostic steps.

That said, your story sounds a little confusing but it's possible one or both of the first two actuators mentioned in my write up may have stopped working.

So when I select feet only it will cycle through vent, floor, defrost and it will intermittently do that. Then if I select feet and face it will work fine mostly and occasionally do the same thing then if I select feet and defrost only defrost works. But any setting that does not relate to feet in the mode works just fine.

Could a bcm or something be a possibility I’m not sure how these 07 mustangs are set up haven’t checked it out mechanically a bunch like I have my other mustang
