Working on my shell of what was once a '67 Mustang. I get a feeling that it was a soft top car. I can't go off the vin's because.... well.... The car has been pieced together. There are holes in the body between the side and back glass. Thats, what makes me think its a soft top. Anyone know something else to look for?

If the holes are what I'm thinking of, they were there for the fasteners that hold the chrome trim (Molding) at the bottom edge of a vinyl top. They were usually leaded over on a standard coupe. My 67 coupe W/O a vinyl top had them and it stirred my curiousity, too.

Convertables had extra reinforcement underneath. The most obvious place to look for traces of it being a convertable is between the two front seat wells. There is supposed to be a reinforcement plate that is bolted across the two. They used three bolts on each inside edge of the wells.
