Hey all ive got a 98 V6 and ive got an issue with body roll. I know Mustangs are notorious for this but i replaced the front struts and i was wondering what else i could do to remedy this, or help it at least. thanks

Change the stock springs to an aftermarket set that will lower the car (this will help to lower the cars center of gravity) and stiffen the ride a bit.

Stiffer sway bars will also help.

sway bars will help MORE than shocks, struts & springs.

your car doesn't have a rear sway bar. Cheapest fix is a GT Takeoff from a salvage yard. 4 bolts later, and you're in pretty good shape.

cool ya thats what ive heard...i know a couple guys with GTs that have put stiffer springs that lowered it some and that makes a big difference too. If your springs arent in good shape a sway wont do too much..it just couples the the two springs..aka trying to make the inside spring compress as you turn a corner instead of compressing the outside spring all the way. Which should be the bigger sway though the front or back. Im still uncertain about that

depends on your preference. A stick axle works differently than most vehicles, but the stiffer the rear, the more oversteer, the thicker the front relative to the rear, the more understeer.

With a GT rear and a v6 front, there's an initial understeer followed by a transition to oversteer, but it's gradual.

Along with the sway bars, add sub-frame connectors. Stiffen up the frame. It works wonders.

Just saw your contention re: springs.

Sway bars will help MORE than stiff springs.

On the Cobras, they actually have SOFTER springs than the GT, but they have a LOT beefier swaybars.

GM has done this for years, and in the 80s the Camaro would out handle Porsche 944s with soft springs and stiff swaybars.

The soft springs keep better contact with the road, and upset the chassis less -the sway bars keep the car level and lets the suspension do its work . ..
