I'm looking for an exhaust that's considerably louder than the stock exhaust with a deeper sound. Both exhausts sound incredible, but ATAK seems MUCH louder than the FRPP sport exhaust in the videos I watched. They're both in the same price range on American Muscle, but I just can't seem to find any good testimonials on the volume of the FRPP exhaust, so I don't know which one to get... I checked youtube, but there really aren't any videos on the two with comparative quality.

I don't have any ramps or lifts at my house either and I'd have to do the install by myself if I didn't get a dealer install, but I'm afraid ford won't offer to install the Borla exhaust. Can anyone here speak for the FRPP Sport Exhaust's sound and quality?

Everywhere I check I keep hearing people complain about drone on the Roush one :/

the borla atak is pretty awesome.. its very quiet if you aren't going above 3k rpm though. i'm happy with mine though.. no drone, let alone even a mild exhaust tone, on the highway

I'll have to look more into this then, because for me it's between Roush and Borla, but for the price... I'm leaning towards Roush.

Between those two, from what I've heard and read, I'd choose the FRPP Sport kit.

Based on price, if I was to go that high myself I would buy Borla, in fact I've been sold on Borla products since hearing my friends Pontaic Trans WSX in highschool, for cost purposes I'll probably go ROUSH.

I have the Borla atak system and it's loud above 3k rpms. I have a hard time shifting before 6k now because I like the feedback.:smilie It has more of a sport bike sound to it though. Definitely not a deep muscle sound but it is a v6. I installed them by myself in my driveway. It was not too difficult. Just loosen and pull down the sway bar. Also if I had to do it over I would loosen up the x-pipe so it would be easier to disconnect the stock exhaust.

I like Corsa exhaust, and I can speak from experience. I have the Corsa extremes on my 2011 5.0. I wouldnt trade them for anything. The car sounds like a muscle car from inside. When you rev it, it is load. At cruise it is perfect. And above all there is absolutely no interior drone or resonance. It is hard to tell from videos what mufflers will sound like in person. But if I get any for my 2012 v6, I will get Corsas. I also really like the tip design.they look a little different, and they definately don't look cheap.

I like the FRPP's but I can't justify spending that kind of money on something other people won't even hear unless I'm flooring it... but then again, if the atak's aren't loud under 3k rpm either, then I might just go FRPP and save the 50 dollars if I decide to get a new exhaust at all.

I know I haven't been around here for as long as some, but that's the first I've heard about Corsa having an axle back for the V6. After listening to the sound clip on YT, it sounds awesome. Just a little popping. I still can't see spending over $600 on an axle back system though.

Ah, I didn't see that one! It has a nice volume, but I'd like something a little deeper sounding. Thanks for linking that vid though :cooldude:

After hearing the Roush and reading reviews, it seems really tempting to go for that low price and great sound. Sadly, the majority of my time will be spent below 3k RPMS due to city and traffic college commutes daily, and with 2.73 gears A/T, my RPM's normally range from 1.2-1.8k. I'm super scared about the drone... I'm one of those people where any little rattle or vibration in my car sends me into panic mode, so I'm wary about these.

On the flip side, I'm scared that at those RPM's the FRPP and ATAK won't be worth the money, especially with an A/T. If anyone knew a sure-fire way to eliminate any kind of drone that doesn't involve the radio, I would get the Roush in a heartbeat.

Happy w/ my FRPP

I just had my ford racing sports installed Thursday, and i've been in the car 24/7 since. I LOVE them!!! they are louder than stock, much loader at crank, but do calm down to just slightly louder than stock at idle. They are nice and deep. Loud when you step on it. Eg: i came over train tracks by a gas station in 3rd and really stomped it and everyone turned and looked. Exactly what i wanted. sound great in the car, louder than stock, but not obnoxious. no problem listening to music, using sync etc. I love that if rpms are climbing, it sounds like i'm doing 90, no matter how fast i'm actually going. But like has been said, at cruise there isn't a real difference to be heard from stock. There is more of a gurgle when coming of the gas, not popping thankfully because i hate that sound. I'm really happy with them, and can't believe how much better the tips make my car look.

Now I'm extra excited! I got them a couple days ago, and I'll be putting them on tomorrow! How far out would you say the tips are supposed to be from the valance? And also, how much better does it clean up the underside of the car? The stock mufflers look HIDEOUS imo, and are really TOO visible. I'm hoping the FRPP's will be hidden pretty well! :bounce2:
