The Boss 302 intake manifold appears to provide some inexpensive torque and power as well as some bling under the hood for the 5.0 GT. Some questions arise however, so I am looking for answers from someone who has made this change.

1. Does the Boss 302 intake manifold fit the GT 5.0 without changes to the hood and the strut cross brace (AKA Monte Carlo Bar)?

2. Are there any changes required to the plumbing and wiring?

3. Is the GT 5.0 MAF senor usable?

4. Is a custom tune necessary?

5. What manifold gasket is necessary?

6. What other changes are necessary?

Unbolt and remove the old, set the boss in its place, torque to spec… the throttle body fits, I had a C&L CAI it fit and the strut brace won’t come close to fitting…
A tune is required to make it all work well…
The vapor return line relocation kit is a joke and stupid priced….
A couple of clamps and 3/8s fuel line works just as well and it is all hidden from sight, plus cost 150 less…

Long story short… if you are worried about warranty… Don’t do it… HP gain is above 7k redline…

Boss intake is an easy install even for me.
I have 3.73 gears and felt no loss of torque.
I can feel the increase in power starting at 5k all the way through redline. If you have a CAI and boss intake your torque numbers will still be greater then stock torque numbers. Many many dealerships don't care about mods.

I want to argue that you do lose torque and the HP gain is not that great... I had a C&L CAI and Kooks headers on along with the Boss 302 intake and a Bama tune...

The dyno graph is SAE corrected...

I agree you will probably have less peak torque, but not substantial.

your torque curve looks really flat I like that. Plus your Hp keeps on climbing.

Do you have before boss intake dyno numbers?
