I really did it this time. I am in the process of adding a center console trunk release button. I read the write up here, but my car doesn't have the same colored wires.
Anyway, looking at the lock mechanism, I see 2 wires. one pink and one black. Playing around i've found that if I feed power to the pink one, the latch activates (opens). Unfortunately, there's no always on power in the trunk anywhere, so I took apart the center console.
The back of that power outlet has 2 wires, one green and one black. I test the green line as active (with this https://www.wdcart.com/cremos/catalog2/images/PC280122.JPGCircuitTester6V-12V.JPG) and then tapped the green wire (like this http://thm-a04.yimg.com/image/39a70089b1c0dd6e).
Now both outlets are dead. I checked every fuse in the fuse box in the passenger kick panel, all were good.
Now i'm at a loss.
and I'm supposed to leave from KC and drive to Boston on Tuesday
