About a month ago, I replaced the optional 19 x 8.5 inch Nickel Painted aluminum wheels with the 19 x 9 inch Brembos, but kept the 245-45 tires, as their max allowable wheel width was 9 inches.

Have noticed a couple of things.

  1. The extra half inch of width has spread the tire beads further apart, reducing the sidewall radius resulting in a slight increase in sensitivity to road conditions, and likely less sidewall flex.
  2. The wheels appear to be further outboard than they were with the original wheels, apparently providing a wider track. The missing piece of information is the amount of offset of both the Brembo and optional wheels...
Am curious about the actual difference in track, and would appreciate the offset numbers for both sets of wheels or a link to that information to resolve that question.
So far, the net result I sense is improved, flatter cornering, and better road feel... an unexpected bonus :D

This site has great information for measuring offset.
Thanks for the link... Have bookmarked for future reference, but it requires measurements of the wheel bead seats and the mounting surface... The wheels and tires are on the car making that measurement impossible :(.

Hoping one of the Mustang gurus might have the data...
