C&L Intake price comparison...?

C&L prices their filter kit (everything needed before the MAF sensor) and the inlet pipe separately. For an '96-'01 GT, for example, the filter kit is $139.00 and the inlet pipe is $149.00.

I don't know why the big difference in price, but I ordered mine from C&L 3 weeks ago and installed it the other weekend. Nice piece and everything fit and lined up nicely.

i wasnt talking about intake related components...i was commenting on the price differences of the C&L plenum...seems that its really cheap on the C&L website but much more expensive on other sites such as americanmuscle and ebay

i also found that c&l has the cheapest price for their plenums as well. they much just offer lower prices factory direct or something. american muscle doesn't carry their plenums though...

lol whooops my bad, i totally confused myself on this one. I apologize about my previous post, i actually was talking about the C&L intake not the plenums. I guess i was looking at C&L plenums before i came back to check this post's progress and i forgot exactly what kind of C&L product i was asking for lol. So to correct myself, yes i was curious as to why the C&L INTAKE was so expensive on americanmuscle

it still might be the same reason. when i was looking for plenums c&l had the cheapest price. they might do the same deal with intakes, just sell factory direct.

Does anyone have the C&L intake for their 99-04 GT? Ive got a JLT rai right now but i am thinking about getting a new intake soon and i havent seen any reveiws about it and was wondering what you guys thought about it compared to a K&N?

the differences in cold air intakes is minimal. keep your JLT. it isnt worth the money to try a different brand.
