My filter book doesnt list one, good chance it doesnt have one.

For 2005 shows taurus, escape, freestar, focus, and t-bird to have one.
My manual says it is located just in front of the windshield under the cowl grille on the passenger side of the vehicle.

It says to replace it, see the dealer.
(Waxed sitting in his car with the manual going over the Mustang inch by inch since he isn't driving it) :laughlitt

They are supposed to be replaced at 15K miles according to the maintenance schedule.
For Waxed, he has about 14,700 to go :laughlitt

$18.75 here

Semi slow day, part of my job is calling checking/ordering parts, no biggie.
25 is from ford and thats thier list price, my cost would be the same 18.75. 25% off list for most parts. Gets to be an expensive part for my personal use they will knock a little more off.
Depending where you live, they are quite useful. They stop dust and other undesireable stuff from getting into your air ducts and then into your car.
Here in S.Calif. if you don't have one, and your car was parked outside during strong winds, you'll get a face full of dust and dirt when you first turn on the ventilation fan - I know, I've owned plenty of cars that don't have them!!
yeah, if you pop the hood and go to the cowl on the passenger side, you'll see where to pop off the part of the cowl and you'll see where to replace it. i looked at mine when it got 10K miles and it was barely dirty, at 20K miles i changed it,back when i had it.
I looked at mine about a month ago. 17,000 miles on nothing but paved roads. It looked just fine. I tapped it on the floor and nothing fell out so I put it back in. This one has a metal frame around it.

Open the hood. The passenger half of the plastic cowl cover is held on by two plastic retainer studs on the forward end of it. The cover comes off pretty easily and the filter is in the hole under it.
