Read thru every CAI thread on the forum, and while it's agreed that adding a CAI will change the sound of the engine for the better, I don't think I found even one comparison (ie steeda vs Airraid).

Perhaps some of you have swapped different ones and have direct experience. I'd assume that like cat-backs, axle-backs, and headers, these things are tuned a certain way for sound. I don't know.

Help me choose a righteous CAI for killer sound for my V6.

I thank you sirs.

I can only think of one person who has swapped CAI's on his car and that was because water was coming through the hood vents on his 2013 and getting on the air filter. He didn't mention any change in sound.

There really isn't much difference in sound at all. If you want your car to sound different change the exhaust

I've got a Steeda on my '12 gt and it sounds pretty mean at low revs/light loads - sort of a hissing sound.

Love it.
