Ok so.. I've been looking at small mods for my stang to get a little extra ponys out and ive searched this and didn't find anything.. I am curious if there is a CAI out there that does not need a tune that will actually improve the cars performance.. Im asking becuase a CAI W/ Tuner is no longer a small mod, its like $500-$600 lol. But i really just need a direction to go to.

K&N, Airraid, & BBK will all work without a tune.
Ok cool, im glad there names i know lol. Will they set off a Check engine light?

Shouldn't... But the BBK has done that for a few folks.
That is a good way to start and then later down the road, you can always add the tuner. You will pick up 75 to 80% of you power from the tune. Your car will be night and day different after a tune.

You might with the K&N also. C&L also has a no tune one.

Thats insane how important they are! Well ok is there any out of K&N, BBK, and C&L that stand out and are better or are they all about the same without a tune?

I would go with a C&L setup. Give Chris at Tillmans a call
