CAn i beat an 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi???

This guy just got a new 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, and there known to be pretty fast. His is stock. Im not planing on racing him. Its just all of my friends say he could beat me:tongue . I only have airaid intake, and slp loudmouths....but next week ill have sct xcal2 with custom tune...u thnk ill beat him then?

Wait untill you have the tune. If he really wants the win he will dump it at 5-6k and take off like a bat out of hell. The key to your victory is not the blaze the tires when you take off.

know what the best thing about NOS is.... other than it is cheap, if your talented installing it, you can HIDE it and leave the other guy wondering WTF? :eyepoppin come up with $600 for the Zex kit!! pill it at 75 horse with a 91 tune and you wont just smoke him... you'll roast his a$$!! :worship NOS.
Sorry, I meant to say that I think with good driving you can do it. Don't get pedal happy when when he shoots out a car on you from the jump though, be patient and you will catch him.
The 1/4 mile times for the 2006 WRX Sti is 13.5, and obviously that is with a test driver. Just something to go on. If your 1/4 time is close to that with the tune, it'll be a close race.
Dude my best friend has the new STI and i raced him at the track. (I actually have the video but dont know how to put it up here) All i had at the time was my Mickey Thompsons, air intake and sct xcal. I beat him by a few tenths I think i ran a 13.3 or or high 13.2's and he was up in the high 13.4s or 13.5s. Now with my gears im running in the 12.8s so if you really want to beat him get that tuner and soem gears. I think with my NO2 ill be in the low 12s maybe high 11s.
well hes basically my age, with a stick...so i doubt hes "test driver" good with the shifting points:tongue

If ur gonna race do it soon, before he gets real comfortable with his shift points etc. If u lose keep modin' til' ya beat em'.:eyepoppin Just be sure to beat that ricer!:thumbsup

The answer to your questin is........it doesn't matter! All the women will be standing around your car at the end of the 1/4 mile win, lose or draw.

Shortly before the race, pour a gallon of sugar in his gas tank, and strip off several lug nuts off of his rear wheels, and then strip the groves clean, and then put the nuts back on. That'll slow him up for sure.

the new wrx sti would win...the mph are about 10 more then the mustang.....plus the sti is S/C'd stock and runs 91 octane...'n the wrx is All Wheel drive.....n20 would let you win it of course......it'd SMOKE HIM surely....with my V8 stang w/ 100 shot of n20 pwned a skyline on start off and he was atleast at 500 hp!! :sterb: :eyebulge:
the reason i say sti would win is cause i own one....i taken to the track on a good day and a rainy day....mustang's tires arent the best when its raining..tons of spinn w/ n20...yet my wrx sti ripped off the line like a normal sunny day...but on a dry day..mustang seems like it would eat anything with with a 100 shot vs a stock sti..so yeah...get a wet system kit if u could.
